Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale is a professional basketball player with the Dallas Wings, a team that is part of the Women's National Basketball Association. She was a college basketball player with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, prior to being selected by the Wings with the fifth overall selection in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born on the 2nd March, 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Her brothers are Mario (26 year older) as well as Dare Ogunbowale (20 years old). Since she was the smallest of her siblings she was the most spoilt by her parents. Gregory was a Nigerian Army officer for a length of time. Ogunbowale comes from a lively family. Ogunbowale won gold medals at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships, 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships as well as the 2013 3x3 FIBA U18 Championships. On July 7, 2014, Ogunbowale was selected to the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale has also been selected to be part of the ACC All-Freshman Team for her first time in a collegiate game.
